You can apply for a tuition fee loan to cover the cost of your postgraduate teacher training course.
The maximum tuition fee loan for postgraduate teacher training for a UK applicant starting a course in the 2026 to 2027 academic year is £9,790 per year for a full-time course. Further information about student finance for teacher training can be found here.
If your course starts between August 2026 and December 2026, you can apply for full-time undergraduate student finance from Monday 23 March 2026.
